I have finished reading JoJolion, and I have many problems with it. I feel that the side characters could've had more development, and the main villain and final battle were rushed and poorly executed, but its connections to Steel Ball Run and its themes were incredibly interesting.

The Mars Volta - Deloused in the Comatorium I'm not exactly sure what to make of this album. It's prog, and I like prog, but it's also post-hardcore, which I'm not a big fan of. I feel like most of it just went over my head. I didn't really dislike any of it, but I didn't care about it very much.

Can - Monster Movie Really great debut. It's really obvious how much these guys influenced Osees. So much fun, especially Yoo Doo Right. The shortest track, Outside My Door, was actually the most boring on the album, and not by much. Heavily enjoyed!

Black Dice - Beaches & Canyons Really good album. It reminds me a bit of Danse Manatee by Animal Collective (of course), but some parts also reminded me of my bloody valentine. Altogether it was a very interesting psychedelic noise album, and I will likely listen to it somewhat often.

I finished annotating (most of) the translation with 8-4's assistance. I skipped a couple unfinished parts, but it's enough for the translator to properly start work on Monday! Yay!

This is actually a really good album. Very psychedelic at points, and it's obvious that there are 2 drummers. Actually interesting stuff. I mean I already said it in the original post but now I've really realized it.

I want to make cool as hell psychedelic art one day. That would make me really happy. I haven't really drawn anything in years.

Now that's Winter, I'm thinking about NEWSLETTER. But I haven't written anything for one yet... Right now, my energy is going towards preparing Chapter 5 for localization. The translation process begins next week. We have extracted all the English text and we are now annotating it.

Coin Locker Kid - Manic Pixie Dream World This album is very good. My only issue is that at points it feels very empty sonically, very cold, but I assume that's intentional. I can see myself returning to this when I feel particularly emotional. Will revisit.

Karate (self titled) I've heard 3 post-hardcore albums now, and to me they all sound more or less the same. I enjoyed this one, but I have a similar issue with it that I had with the previous 2; there's almost no variety. Aside from that, I did actually like it. "Every Sister" got to me a bit.

Television - Marquee Moon Probably one of the cleanest albums I've ever heard. The guitar work is awesome, and the mixing is basically perfect. I don't really have any complaints about it, it's just great guitar music. Love it!

Dan Deacon - Gliss Riffer Very nice album. I wasn't too crazy about the first few tracks, but in my opinion each song is better than the last. I wasn't really crazy about the vocals though. I especially liked the last two tracks though.

Update: the 2021 remaster does sound thicker and less bright, more like previous Sabbath albums. The volume levels are also more normalized, but not by much. Laguna Sunrise is still way too loud compared to the metal tracks.
