The starfox news isn't something I care about too much but announcing a direct 10m before is just continuing the trend of random drops and I just am not a fan of it. Directs had their boring moments but gathering with friends for a big presentation was just more fun let alone preparing content wise.

At my very first Big Dapple my team won one (1) singular game and I got so hyped that I went up to the hard cam and started posing with my cat shirt only to trip on wires and do a pathetic fall from grace to the ground. ON THE HARD CAM . . . . .

riptide 2022. my very first lan. marine melody won a 3v4 on stream and i slammed my fists down in victory so hard it disconnected my switch and i had to borrow a TO's switch bec i couldnt connect with my switch. the stream ran over for so long that popgun and jpeg ran out of things to talk abt🧍‍♂️

One time at Riptide I was so sick with my period that I had to vom, while I was commentating. It was an emergency. I grabbed @jpg-is.online and put him in my chair, and said to "Didn't you have questions for jpg?" Or something like that. I RAN. All of this was live.

All spaces will have bad actors and you should always be watchful for them, but I will say that as loud as some of my bad experiences have been, I've had far more positive experiences than negative and I don't regret my time here for the good it's brought to my life.

I do wanna note too though, that this isn't the majority of the community. Not to downplay the importance of this discussion, it def needs to happen and we do still have work to do, but I see people commenting feeling discouraged or scared to enter the splat community.

Ok last thing. If someone is sexually harassing you, please don’t be afraid to report it to your TOs. We want this scene to be as safe for marginalized genders as much as you do, and don’t want that kind of behavior in our communities.
