A small independent brewery based in Glasgow producing beer in a wide range of styles since 2019.
I’ve been saving this until I had time to relax and enjoy it. Where better than Fell NQ with a pint of Tinderbox

Two new beers this week - Tenements Lager; 3.8% gluten-free. Our small batch take on a big Scottish favourite Belgian Christmas Ale; 2025's vintage is 6.3% with a Stout-y grist that's big on chocolate/dried fruit and Belgian-style fermentation 🤘🍻

I’ve just uploaded the 100th unique beer to the ‘Beers’ page on our website. I’m usually fastidious about doing this but I missed this one when we released it a couple of weeks ago… 🎉

🆕🏴 A brown beer in the Belgian style with the trademark fruity Abbey Ale flavour profile and fortified with organic Deglet Noor dates. Rich and complex aromas of dried fruit and banana mingle with delicate nutty and spice notes in a beer that’s soft, smooth and deliciously easy drinking.

It’s been a huge pleasure to have Jim ISBF here for a brew today. A few handfuls of spruce tips, juniper, some choc rye, a load of floor malted Pilsner and nae hops. Should be just the job on a rainy November night in Salford

A timely read as we’re about to release our 2.9% Table Beer, which we brew with Euro/noble hops as well as US varieties. We do this for flavour and because the resulting complexity helps a lower ABV beer punch above its weight.

Saddened by the news of Sir Geoff Palmer's passing. The one guest lecture he gave during my time at Heriot Watt was outstanding; packed with anecdotes, energy and charisma off the scale. And brewing/distilling was just one element of his life! A truly unique man and a great loss, RIP.

We released Smoked Rye Porter as number 2 in our Big Ideas Series. Making the 2025 version no. 40 seems a fitting way to both mark 5 years in business and to round things off; there will be no BIS41. We will of course keep on exploring the less well represented styles, we just won’t be counting.

Next Thursday (13th July) we’re going to be at the Jolly Judge to launch Toledo, our new regular cask beer! 7 kegs lines, pouring a choice selection from our recent range, plus Wild Style bottle pours. Quite the evening of beery indulgence (and the ideal precursor to Valentine’s Day)!

We brew Bohemian Pilsner in late November/early December and leave it resting in the tanks over Christmas, giving the yeast plenty of time to do its job. Naturally carbonated, unfiltered lager takes a fair bit of time to produce, and it’s worth every second. Released this week. Enjoy. Na zdraví!

Our second new brew of the week is a fresh batch of our delicious DDH IPA (6.5%). Inspired by the IPAs of 10-20 years ago, whole cone Amarillo along with big Citra and Simcoe dry hop additions remind us instantly of why we love this particular era of the the IPA style so much!

The first of two new STF releases this week is a brand new beer from us - Tenements (3.8%) is a gluten free lager with a crisp, refreshing, easy drinking character that’s proved to be pretty popular in this city over the years.
