The moment when @salfordbeerfest.bsky.social pointed out that I came to his fest from New York. An incredibly well-run event in a beautiful venue for a great cause. Oh, and the beer being poured is world-class. How could I not go?

Well i envy anyone going to @salfordbeerfest.bsky.social today cos yesterday evening was so good. You are in for an absolute treat, the beer list is absolutely amazing so many standout but I will recommend beers from Dolphin, Scatterlings and @abbeydalebeers.bsky.social if you're into sours

Epic news: Beer Festivals has been shortlisted for Best Beer Book in the World 2026, the same award won by 50 Years of CAMRA, my 1st book, in 22. My thanks to the Gourmand Awards for this huge honour - fingers crossed for February. Although, being named top 3 in the world is pretty cool in itself!
