Just finished Where Peace Is Lost by Valerie Valdes. Not my usual genre, so I was surprised by how thrilling the romance was. It was a fresh balance to the ethics questions; very real questions about holding on to mercy, peace, and community in the face of sociopathy. #GomoReads2026

Impressive. According to my Libby app, I checked out 60 books this calendar year, up from 51 in 2024 and 30 in 2023. I'll have to do a final count of how many of the 60 I actually completed.

I remember thinking it would be a glorious triumph for the world if we could ever wipe out cancer. We dreamed of cures, but blocking the root cause like this…wow. I never dreamed of large organized groups trying to stop people from preventing cancer.
