It will have been a decade since I started working in the games industry in May (8 years+ at Rocksteady) and I have just switched departments. Gone from a QA Lead to a Junior Environment Artist. Feeling nervous but also excited about all the new things to learn. :)

A quick gamedev history story. When I started my career, there were so few 3d artist the company I was hired by had to start a training school to make enough to actually make a big game. At first we didn't know anything. Real time 3D was new and primitive, and nobody really had mastered it.

My only thought on naming games is that if "Balatro", "Disco Elysium", "LUFTRAUSERS", "Planetenverteitigungskanonenkommandant", "What Remains of Edith Finch", "Journey", and "Kingdom Hearts 2.8 something" can all be successful, it just doesn't matter. If it is successful it'll stick, not vice versa.
