As Appalachia went, so goes the country. There are not one, not two, but three dirty power plants within a 40 minute drive of me. Why? That electricity goes East (to data centers). My power bill is 3x what it would be in Oregon, because Appalachians pay for this with our lungs and our wallets.

Power went out 11 times today (so far). Pretty sure that's an all time record for one day at the ole homestead.
