My best friend growing up was the son of the VP of the Evangelical church during the Ted Haggard era IYKYN & I got a little glimpse into how that world really operates. I really feel like it was an early radicalizing moment in understanding the power ways of American Christianity. Super sad & scary.

If the 10 day forecast is correct, we are nearly at the last frost date here, which aside from a stray 30 degree night, is pretty consistent with recent years growing a garden is this part of Madison county. Historically I think it’s something like early May for this area.

For ppl who aren't aware: Old temperate forests are insanely rare nowadays and extremely important ecosystems lost forever once cut. They're not just "old trees" but intricate networks of trees, fungi and all kinds of living creatures. You CANNOT replant this!! Once it's gone it's lost FOREVER!!!

The rate of change of renewables in China is accelerating. Solar has passed wind in generation. Fossil fuel generation is decreasing. Renewables will pass fossil fuels by the early 2030's or sooner. 🧪🔌💡☀️💨💧🔋
