I love how so much of the media is like *here is a cis man with no medical experience* ah yes an expert on trans care Meanwhile *here is a trans woman with four degrees* hmm seems like a radical trans activist

People underestimate how badass trans folk are. A lot of us have been through some shit and it’s a journey that forces you to face yourself, regardless. I wouldn’t call it bravery; it implies a choice and I can only speak for myself when I say that I never felt like I had one. I’d call it grit.
