There's nothing particularly wrong with Suikoden II but I have failed to finish it three times now. It's more that by the time I got to it, i had long had my fill of straightforward RPGs and I guess my tastes have changed as i got older. Excellent game from what i did play though.

Made a quick RMN blog update for old times' sake. If youve been following the Crescent Prism rebuild on here, this isn't anything new. But it might be worth a look: rpgmaker.net/games/9962/b...

With RMN back up I found some in-engine mockups of the game that would eventually become Brave Hero Yuusha. These were from 2014. I'm pretty sure some of these tiles were straight rips. The final game would be all unique assets.

Rpgmaker.net coming back online is very significant, as a whole generation of 2000s and 2010s indie games was contextless and nearly lost without it. It's wonderful to see it back in action. Hopefully to stay!

Trying out Visions of Mana since I found it on clearance for $10. Gameplay is fun. Story so far is just Tales of Symphonia again. Might be worth sticking with.

Promoting your old games is hard because... I think with games especially you have a "launch window" of relevance and then if you go past that, it feels desperate. Not many other art forms have this problem.
