This is kind of a boring technical thing but I've gotten in the practice of pulling game text from a spreadsheet using text pointers, instead of entering dialogue directly in RPGMaker. What does that mean? Well that makes it much easier to edit the game's script externally. Saves me a headache.

Something I miss in gaming is parody, or genre subversion. It's definitely less common now. I feel like without it a lot of the popular genres start to stagnate. Like farming sims kind of need something like what Undertale did for RPGs. Parody and critical responses help innovate genres.
