This reminds me of one of my favorite jokes in the Mother series. In Earthbound Beginnings you can get a "Last Weapon" that promises you'll never have to enter a battle again. The game tells you if you don't want to fight then turn the game off. This joke only gets funnier as time goes on.

I've been posting, knowing full well I said i'd post less, but honestly I feel better now than I have in months. I want 2026 to be a good year.

It's honestly kind of funny watching Buddy grow a puffier coat since he moved up here from Florida. He's never known winter weather until now. March 2025 and Now.

I'm looking back at 2025 and it was definitely a recovery year. And i've been telling myself more every day that it was okay for it to be. I often worry that if I stop making things, i'll be forgotten. But many of you stuck around even when I could not work on games. I was happy to be proven wrong.

It's going to be weird in ten years when we go back and play games where you can pet the dog. And we'll go "Oh yeah, what an era that was." Sort of like when you see an arrow to the knee joke in a 2010s game now.
