Wonderful article, and on point...and it just takes LONGER TO DO SIMPLE THINGS by voice. I've seen people yell at their phones "Set a timer for 9 minutes." It misses it. Or it sets it for 5 minutes instead. They tell it to cancel. Meanwhile the timer app would have taken ~5 seconds to set manually.

There are generally two philosophies on how to use consumables like potions in video games: 1. use as needed for a boost 2. the correct way, which is to never ever use them no matter what, in case you need them later. even on the last boss. what if this game gets a sequel, huh? what then.

Video games gave me very unrealistic expectations of the healing properties of rotisserie chicken.

Drives me up the wall, especially when the thing you want to know is somewhere in the middle of a 30 minute video and you don't have any idea where.

Sometimes it's time to head to work and...somebody...really doesn't want you to go because your lap is just so comfy. And it makes you wonder "Come to think of it, why do I put up with this whole work thing?" Then I realize that I like food and shelter. But I still wait for the cat to move.
