Got back into running recently, went out with headphones for the first time in ages today after months appreciating the natural soundscape of cars and mardy northerners. Surprised myself by knocking 20s off the usual time for the first hill without pushing, amazing what a bit of music can do.

Pleasant evening poking around with breakbeats and bass noises, might be onto something after months of nothing really working music-wise.

Son has loads of A-level exams this week, he's doing great, obviously I'm a nervous wreck. Exciting realistic wake-up-yelling 4am anxiety dream last night was: Oh God I Totally Forgot That My Daughter Also Has Exams I Am A Terrible Father. I don't have a daughter.

My pilates instructor (shut up) has asked me to put together a playlist for her sessions and I think this might be the most difficult gig on earth, I have to find 3 hrs of kinda-deep-housey-stuff-but-at-100bpm with nothing that will scare OAPs in it, and I now don't think that's possible

Blocked out two days this week for my annual tedious year-end spreadsheet mayhem, warned accountant that I might need longer. Somehow have finished in less than an afternoon. Probably down to losing several clients last year, but hey every cloud etc etc

Checked the garden storage box on the off chance and discovered BC Friday records I thought had gone missing. Postie didn't put a card through the door so probably been there a week or more. At least they didn't put them in the green bin like they usually do, was bin day today :/
