is done but: out of the city and woke up before dawn to these lovelies. What a chorus! And a gorgeous oriole later on just picking his way through new grass seed out in the open when I've been trying in vain to get a glimpse through the trees.

I don't know what everyone's complaining about. Just go to settings > features > worms, then change the "worms pouring out of my phone" toggle from "yes" to "maybe later"

Been giggling every time I hear the Eastern Wood Pe-wee, who seems to hang out around here. Wish I could catch a glimpse, they look like they're adorable in Merlin.

was right about the bluebird.... I heard it several times and was in a quiet area with lots of bluebird nesting boxes. Fingers crossed all the starlings behave. Nary a warbler, but I did see two of the Greats.

I read something (I can't remember where) that being a woman in your 40s is just getting back to being the girl you were in your teens and 20s, except this time, you love her. I haven't been able to stop thinking about that since.

New data shows the travel boycott by Canadians could be even more dramatic than at first believed. Statistics Canada reports a 25% drop in trips from last year. But a study by the University of Toronto, using cell phone data, suggested the drop in cross-border trips was more than 40%.

Still a strong showing today to wind down spring migration season. Stood under a honey locust tree for an active 14 minutes here. Not all correct, but I did actually see a few bay breasted warblers, the vireos, and some super duper cute redstarts during my five miles in the cemetery.

Sam Alito in Callais: the 14th/15th amendment only care about intentional discrimination! SCOTUS today: jk! not even that! (unless the “intentional” discrimination is attempting to comply with the voting rights act, in which case it’s unconstitutional intentional racial discrimination)

Residents in Fayette County, Georgia noticed their water pressure was unusually low. Turns out that a data center 20 miles away had been drawing 30 million gallons of water in secret through connections the county didn't know existed. Is it any wonder why so many are opposed to data centers?

We defeated the Trump administration's second round of illegal tariffs. Limitless tariffs were illegal the first time, and they're still illegal now. We'll keep fighting to stop this administration from abusing its power and forcing working people to pay the price.
