Alt-text as it stands now is individual labor and no one, absolutely no one, is entitled to someone’s individual labor. I want alt-text to be community labor, which it is right now, just awkwardly implemented. Have people add it and the OP approve of it, like subs on YouTube.

I've seen so many artists who admit they don't post art because they struggle with alt-text and posting art without it is unthinkable so they don't it's your art, it's your account, do what you want, inclusivity is not the same thing as constant boundaryless open access to the point of sacrifice
