⚠️ Serious incident at Threipmuir Reservoir today. A person entered the ice to rescue a dog that fell through. Thankfully they returned safely, but the dog was not recovered. Frozen reservoirs are dangerous—please keep safe in the Pentland Hills this winter.

Ok, Final Final Post in the Thread 🧵 I thought I would put together a rough map of the Route taken and the Boxes/Buildings Pictured. Maybe I could refine it and start running tours with some combination of the mandatory cloak/umbrella/Silent Disco 🤔.

A wee bit of snow didn't stop us singing to the apple trees in Victoria Park and at the Heart of Newhaven. The hot drinks and apple cake were much appreciated.

I have now gone rouge, A secondary source (low confidence in accuracy) suggested that the Easter Road Police Box may have had a Siren. I knew there was no evidence but didn't have pictures of the Box. #EdinburghPoliceBox

Down and through Abbeyhill we get to the London Road Police Box. I love how precarious it looks along with the exposed pipes. One of my favourites. Now I need to turn back towards town. #EdinburghPoliceBox

As well as live Police Box Updates I can provide weather updates. It is trying to start to snow as I Reach the Leith Walk Police Box. (A sign I need a hot drink). This one had a Siren but moved around a bit and was originally down a side street. #EdinburghPoliceBox

Approaching the point where I turn for home, here is the Police Box Drumsheugh Gardens. This one is a mystery to me and I need to do some homework. It has a Siren mount but is missing from my lists. Potentially a 1980's relocation or it has been moved from elsewhere. #EdinburghPoliceBox

Fun in the sun this morning for the volunteers. 15 bags of rubbish collected from around Balgreen to keep it healthy and paths swept of leaves so they are useable. Top work team 👏

Coming down the mile we come to Cranston Street Police Box. This one needs further investigation as it may have had a Siren in WW2 but the current box shows no evidence and it wasn't listed post war. #EdinburghPoliceBox

The reason for neither Lawnmarket or Troon Kirk police boxes having a Siren is that one was supposed to have been installed on the roof of the City of Edinburgh Police Headquarters Building in WW2.
