I find it difficult to understand how a font can be 'wasteful'. On the other hand, I appreciate fully that refusing to permit the use of a font that is more easily read by people with dyslexia is very wasteful indeed. Wasteful of human inclusion and talent.

You can’t ‘broker’ a peace deal if you have a personal, financial or political interest in a specific outcome that favours one of the sides over the other. You just can’t. That isn’t brokering; it’s bullying and profiteering.

Some random thoughts on paper straws: I myself have never had a paper straw ‘explode’. I have also not felt the need to use a straw for a hot drink, although I do accept paper ones are probably not up to that task.
