lol the fresno shout out. perhaps that’s why you’ll virtually never catch me feeling worried about a “dangerous” area when i travel; i’ve lived in some of the sketchier parts of fresno and just know when to worry and who to worry about. generally, the fear is pretty unfounded or overblown.

i’m barely having breakfast at noon and i have a meeting at six, so probably no oh my days today, but tomorrow should be doable!

being nice to people is so tight. i’ve had so many pleasant little interactions with strangers (and one with an old friend) today.

since i've been living on uncrustables at work lately, my mom got a box of crust offs from costco last week and they rule because they're bigger and have more protein and less sugar and more calories and are more filling and i know i could just make a pb&j every day, but no i can't, y'know?

every time there's a work emergency, the same person is involved (and half the time, she's blaming me for her incompetence). (everyone knows she's like this, though, and they have my back, so not to worry.)

i woke up with a headache yesterday, went to sleep with the same headache, and hey, guess what? woke up with a headache again.

i just have to get through an oil change, two concerts (one locally tomorrow and one in la on saturday, followed by the drive home), and a sunday night meeting and then now that i have my car back and i'm in my new office, my life should go back to as close to normal as possible for a second. 🤞

three years ago today, with almost no presence of any kind in the fandom, i posted my first ofmd fic and my first fic of any kind in probably a decade. three years of bryn fic! three years of trucker boys! three years of dusty, music-inspired ‘70s aus with a million cigarettes!

i don’t think anyone was worried about this, but you can count on me to continue reading and writing ofmd fic for probably at least the next several years, considering my 30+ page mfl list and my multitude of docs with thousands of words languishing in them

bought myself one of those shitty little cherry hand pies from the gas station to try and make myself feel better (those are usually veg*n, pro tip, but always check to be sure!) and it didn’t really work, but it was delicious

on my way between work and coffee, i was in my head about how much everyone must hate talking to me because i’m cynical and boring et cetera, et cetera and then i looked up and the vanity plate on the car in front of me was “IM AWFL”

genuinely sitting at my desk trying to decide which coffee beverage or little treat might make me feel less like walking into traffic while i'm thinking about grief, my health, and all the expenses piling up in my life, in addition to the fact that i need to get on a new student loan plan.

I desperately don't want to ask all the people who've been so generously helping me this far for anything; I feel like I'm taking advantage of their kindness. My student loan disbursement for the year has run out. But no matter what, I'll find a way to pay this tuition. Thank you for reading.
