I experience genuine joy over a million things a day, & I sincerely feel blessed & loved. I also enjoy giving love. Yet, I am simultaneously deeply depressed. So much, that my life feels hopeless & worthless. All of these feelings are true at once. It's hard to explain, & worse bc it's complicated.

With everything going on outside, and how quickly my life is falling apart as well, I'm trying to find something stable to pin my hope on, and it always comes back to there are more good people than bad. I am still lucky, bc if I have to go thru this, I get to do so with all my favorites in my life.

Done with social media for the day so here's the simple joys rundown early: My nephew crawled for the first time, & I was there! My youngest got a huge PUMP UP THE VOLUME poster. My oldest cleared out the brush to make a rock garden. I got to pet the neighbor's puppy.

A thing I wish people knew about chronic illness and cancer is that it's not 24/7 of being able to lay around and watch movies & be an inspiration to people. It's a part time job of dealing w/ paperwork, trying to still work a job, & still trying to be nice while in constant pain. It's exhausting.

Small joys today: The sound of vegetables being chopped on the cutting board. Podcast recording. Getting my (bare minimum) to do list completed. Talking to my Mushu. Voy & Chicken.

The outside world is terrible, and while I do the small good things I can it still doesn't feel like enough. So I have decluttered & reorganized every inch of my house. No junk drawers. Nothing we don't use except collectibles & art. I have complete control over this space, & it makes me feel free.
