I have had Guillotine by @delilahsdawson.bsky.social on my TBR stack since it was released. I picked it up last week and devoured it over the weekend. A quick, bloody, and brutal read. It's cathartic for these times.

I want to like Robert Zemeckis' A Christmas Carol more. It's got an epic feel, great score, and a pretty good adaptation. And while the people aren't Polar Express-level creepy, they're still too uncanny valley to fully enjoy the movie.

Heading to Virginia Seminary this week for my January intensive. Got to the airport in Valdosta well before daylight only for the flight to be delayed several hours due to ice in Atlanta. So, I came to the 10 AM service at Christ Church.

First book of 2025 finished! This one had been on my TBR list for a while now. Solid crime fiction with a supernatural horror element lurking over the whole thing. I've encountered Gabino Iglesias on social media, but this was my first time reading one of his books. I will be reading more.

I read 76 books in 2024 (seminary really inflates that total and I didn't even log all of those). Of the new releases, I think these five are my favorites. I know Wild Robot Protects was a 2023 release, but I didn't get to it until 2024.

He sits in my lap every night but usually he faces the TV. Tonight, he turned himself around so he could watch me.

Binge watching Joe Pera Talks With You because I never watched beyond season one, and I just heard it's leaving HBO Max on January 11. I hate this whole removing things for tax write-offs.

This week has finally given me time to watch season two of Star Trek: Prodigy. I had watched the premiere when it dropped but then life got very busy and complicated for me. But I watched all 20 episodes over the past three days. This series just keeps getting better.

Last year, I donated a massive box of RPG books to a local prison. One of my best friends from high school is a prison librarian & he says RPGs are extremely sought after but very rarely donated, so if you have any unused RPG manuals you don't need consider donating them.
