I sort of failed at the Edo Tokyo museum again today. Even thought we got there when it opened, sento obasan friend and I spent way too much time trying to orient ourselves on the old folding screen maps of Edo which is actually really hard when all the important parts are covered in golden clouds…

I felt a little bad for opening up my natto while sitting directly next to someone else at Matsuya but several minutes later I heard the distinct sound of said stranger opening up his own carton of natto so now all is right with the world.
