The usual unevidenced psychiatrist lingo: 'MOST LIKELY due to', etc. That profession always use terms such as 'probably', 'it is thought' , 'it is assumed'; in this case, 'most likely'. Never any actual indisputable proof, just their own personal beliefs. Hence no progress made in decades.

Can’t stress this enuf. There’s so much stigma around ill health, I think the default is not to share unless you affirmatively demonstrate your response will be supportive. Even just reposting info about Long Covid from time to time is smthg the affected people in your life will definitely notice.

Many Autistic people *hate* leftovers and are accused of being picky but in many such cases they have hyper-sensitive palettes and can literally taste that the food is “off” (to their senses) a day or two after it is made.

Several friends of mine with #ME, have taken their own lives. They did not want to die, they wanted to live, even with restricted lives, they wanted the care and support to be available to enable them to live without insult. It’s not available for #pwME/CFS so they chose to die alone, uncared for.

MAiD in Canada - prior to 2020 when we opened track two for non terminal illnesses - it was against the law/physician code of conduct to proactively bring it up. It’s allowed now. The patient doesn’t have to initiate the discussion. When a doctor suggests you consider death? It has lasting effects.
