Chatted to ppl in the breakfast club & then headed over to SWAMP for some lunch & a chat with Jenna, who is doing trauma informed resilience work alongside the community. Raising children isnt seen as making a difference in the world. We're expected to do that when our kids are elsewhere. But actually, everything we are seeing right now is, in some way, a result of how a child was raised Parents know this. We feel that pressure &feel how invisible it is to the world

With every NHS reorganisation or plan I wonder- might THIS be when there's a meaningful attempt to do things differently? But honestly? I don't think I'll ever see an emotionally-intelligent NHS that prioritises relationships, where patients are really listened to, & where staff feel looked after.

Doing "with" communities is often sold as the gold standard. But when communities do things by themselves, with appropriate support at the appropriate time by the appropriate people, that's when the power is where it should be. In the hands of citizens 💪 That's the future I wanna see.
