The world’s oldest football is heading into the metaverse. ⚽ At nearly 500 years old, the world’s oldest football was discovered in the bedchamber of Mary, Queen of Scots, at Stirling Castle. The ball has been scanned our Virtual Reality facilities ARC-XR to create a museum‑quality digital twin.

It’s all been leading to this day✨ One step at a time, and somehow 4 years flew by in a blink of an eye. For UofG student Serena, the last 4 years has been filled with lectures, study sessions, rugby games, and of course on a few occasions dressed up as Pitbull in HIVE.

Earlier this month, on National Unicorn Day, UofG lecturer Dr Tawona Sitholé and his creative team hosted a reading of their play The Lion & The Unicorn. Named after the statues on Professor’s Square, the play brings together stories from across the University as we celebrate our 575th anniversary.
