I’m a constituent of Jackie Baillie and was gutted she was reelected. However, in the local press comments today, the disgusting abuse she is receiving is beyond belief. It’s hard enough for women in politics without the body shaming, misogynistic bile. Sometimes I absolutely hate the internet.

At what point do we stop pretending our newspapers are ‘news’ and start calling them what they are… Promotional pamphlets for the billionaires who own them and the agendas they’re selling.

There’s a woeful lack of imagination in this country. Solar panels don’t just have to be on houses. There are acres of industrial and infrastructure sites that could easily accommodate them. It would cut industrial fuel costs and excess could feed back into the grid
