I enjoyed the mix of stories in I Want That Twink OBLITERATED! I think the editors hit their goal of reclaiming the idea of pulp, with stories that centred masculinities in a new light—and took this reader on a damn fun ride.

Anyway, I need people to love Phasian, Paragon of the Seven Veils, known by some as the Peacock Wizard, because I want to spend a very long, very episodic time with my weird little guy.

Authors, we gotta stay asking ourselves “am I writing checks my weird can’t cash?”

ICYMI I reviewed THE EMPEROR AND THE ENDLESS PALACE by Justinian Huang for the Ancillary Review of Books last week. One of my favorite books this year, I can already tell, and a vital addition to a growing contemporary canon of speculative fiction by and about queer men.
