This piece was one of favourites this year. Thank you to Amal for writing (and @asimovssfmag.bsky.social for housing) such a moving work, which uses the robot trope to speak profoundly to our use, abuse, & discarding of other bodies. It's a deft meditation on themes of urgent relevance to our times.
