hehe the energy of the pilot was definitely influenced by how well taika (directing) knows rhys, who was working outside his comfort zone. taika really knew how to shoot rhys, give him very little direction bc that's how rhys works best, and set him up to be funny #bof2

rhys would push back against direction sometimes and taika would go "oh he's doing that thing, he's doing that rhys thing" LMAO #bof2

s2 ep8 is called mermen bc it was gonna be a call forward to how we'd see ed as a mermaid too in s3, which i guess i will just continue to feel insane about #bof2

crying, if ed and stede had taken longer to get back together, the crew would have gotten annoyed in a parent trap way like "oh my GOD you wanna be together just figure it out" but it would have been like, mom and dad are fighting, my home life's messed up, and we're DYING as a result lmfao 💀 #bof2

WOW if david had had a guarantee of a 3rd season, or if he redid s2, ed and stede may not have gotten back together until nearly the end of the season - and/or it might have been really adversarial at first, and they'd have to figure out they're trying to kill each other bc they're scared #bof2

😭 stede went into piracy wanting to achieve fame and infamy, and once he got that, he realizes all he really wants is ed - an equal relationship with someone who understood him. and s3 would have been stede realizing, yes he found a better person for him, but he still has work to do on himself #bof2
