The rule change making an H1-B visa cost $100,000 is so unfathomably devastating. It already costs around $5000. With legal fees, it runs about $20K. I know this because we just hired someone with an H1-B because their humanitarian parole was revoked and we had to go another route.

The CBC is reminding us that condemning violence without confronting racist ideology is hollow. And that honoring someone who denied systemic racism, mocked Black leaders, and pushed white nationalist conspiracy theories isn’t about healing, it’s actually about creating a martyr out of a myth.

It’s a window into the chasm between how Black and white Americans view race. For too many white people, racism is still not a dealbreaker. They’ll denounce (some) violence but protect the worldview that fuels it.

It really cements Charlie Kirk’s reputation as a hero of free speech when his followers threaten, doxx, and get people fired for not “mourning properly.” (Actually, it underlines what a scam that “free speech” routine was in the first place.)

When I see people online, even in jest, suggest that people living in Republican-controlled states should be abandoned because of their politicians, I feel a deep heartache. New York CREATED Donald Trump and none of y’all are ever talk about it the way you disparage Alabama or Mississippi.

The president of the United States just declared war, actual military war, not a metaphorical one, on a major American city, and one governed by his political opponents. In any other period, this would be impeachment-worthy.

Just crossed the 30k mark in this book! I used to draft fast (sometimes in just 2-3 months) and then slow down for edits, but I've found that when I'm slower in the drafting process I have a much cleaner manuscript to work with at the end. This is taking longer, but it's going well.

Tylenol/autism stuff is bad for many reasons, but it will be used to push the idea that pregnant people shouldn't have pain relief. Women's pain is already dismissed.
