BREAKING UPDATE: Today, the U.S. Supreme Court granted a stay of an order issued by the Fifth Circuit Court of Appeals in Louisiana v. FDA. The FDA’s current rules, which allow people to receive mifepristone by mail or pharmacy, are now in place as the case proceeds on the merits.

Breaking: SCOTUS has granted a stay of the 5th Circuit's order in Louisiana v. FDA--which threatened access to mifepristone via telehealth & in pharmacies nationwide--until 5/11 at 2pm PT. This means that for now, mife prescriptions can continue to be filled by mail or at a pharmacy.

Um no? Trump’s DOJ is NOT defending medication abortion. They’re arguing the same thing SCOTUS previously ruled on standing (not the right plaintiffs) bc they think this lawsuit will fail and look like a big loss. They have easier paths — refile, enforce Comstock, or take internal HHS action.
