I was too young to comprehend the larger geopolitical context in which it unfolded, but some of the most glaring memories from my childhood were images of the famine in Somalia. It's heartbreaking that the hell unfolding in Sudan now is barely being mentioned by the media.

When you see innocent people being sent to a hell hole concentration camp in El Salvador, you are horrified. But the thing that most people in the USA still don't want to reckon with, is that *more than half* of the white people in the USA see the same exact images, *and like it*. They love it.
