The reason the far right ( which now includes the Tories) want to scrap the ECHR is because it prevents the indenturing of migrant workers In the same way as Singapore and Dubai. The UK will need migrant Labour more and more. The far right want those people to have no human rights.

I realise that there are lots of erudite and entirely correct reasons against leaving the ECHR, but surely the main one to be repeated ad nauseam is "from the people who told you Brexit would solve all of your problems - how did that work out for you?"

There are lots of reasons not to leave ECHR. But apart from anything else, it just doesn't solve the problem the Tories/Reform think it does. E.g. the Supreme Court judgment re Rwanda being unsafe explicitly said it was not based on ECHR.
