Heavy Ukrainian UAV activity tonight reported across multiple occupied regions: Starobilsk, Uspenka, Crimea, as well as Volgograd and Saratov oblasts. Local channels warn of strike drones in the air, while air restrictions at Tambov airport are in place.

NATO reports two Hungarian Gripen fighters were scrambled from Šiauliai, Lithuania on Sept 25 as part of NATO Baltic Air Policing, intercepting three Russian MiG-31s, a Su-30 and a Su-35 flying close to Latvian airspace.

Several unidentified drones were spotted over the Mourmelon-le-Grand military camp in Marne, France, during the night of Sept 21–22. Local military officials confirmed the flights were not carried out by French forces. An investigation is underway, with gendarmerie tasked to trace their origin.

Ukrainian drones of the 14th UAV regiment struck key gas distribution stations in occupied Luhansk overnight, Shchastia (main supplier for Luhansk TPP), Severodonetsk (critical for Azot chemical plant), and Novopskov. Luhansk TPP has been forced to switch to coal.

Fuel shortages in Russia keep deepening. In Khakassia, the entire network of HTK gas stations has stopped selling Ai-92 to regular customers, only allowing purchases with fuel cards. In Crimea, about half the stations are closed.

A Ukrainian hexacopter reportedly dropped a large munition on a building housing Russian soldiers in Donetsk region. Early reports indicate heavy damage and casualties.

An FPV drone strike hit the car of the chief of staff of Russia’s 128th motorized rifle brigade in Belgorod. An Axios journalist asked what those working in the Kremlin should know after an attack on Kyiv’s government building. Zelensky answered plainly: first, know where your bomb shelters are. If you do not stop the war, you will need them.

Poland is moving to change its laws to allow the military to shoot down Russian drones over Ukraine without waiting for NATO or EU approval. The government wants to restore rapid-response powers taken away in 2022, adopting a “shoot first, ask later” principle to deal with cross-border threats.

Cyber specialists of Ukraine’s HUR carried out a large-scale attack on Russia’s national payment system SBP and provider TransTeleCom. From September 24 to 25, Russians temporarily lost the ability to make interbank transfers or pay for goods and services.

Sergey Aksyonov, head of occupied Crimea, has officially admitted fuel shortages on the peninsula, blaming reduced refinery output in Russia. Around 360 gas stations in Russia have shut down due to fuel shortages, according to Russian media. The crisis is most severe in the south, with a 14% drop in stations, while in occupied Crimea and Sevastopol nearly half have closed.

Drones indeed struck a chemical plant in Belorechensk district, Krasnodar region. A fire broke out and staff had to be evacuated, according to local reports.

Strikes were (again) carried out at 'Kacha' airfield in occupied Crimea, which is subject to many strikes recently. In the past days and weeks, Mi-8 helicopters, Be-12 anti-submarine aircraft and now An-26 transport planes have been destroyed alongside radar systems at or near Kacha.

ASTRA reports explosions in Belorechensk, Krasnodar region. Residents confirm strikes, with local sources saying a chemical industry facility was hit. Damage assessment is still underway.

Ukrainian military intelligence unit “PRYMARY” struck again in occupied Crimea. During a raid, they destroyed two Russian An-26 transport planes and hit enemy coastal radar systems, including the MR-10M1 Mys M1 coastal radar station.

Russia launched 176 attack drones overnight, including Shaheds and Gerans. Ukrainian air defense, aviation, EW units and mobile groups shot down or suppressed 150 of them across the country. 13 drones hit 8 locations, with debris falling in one more. The attack is still ongoing.

According to Ukraine's Air Force, a Russian Su-34 was shot down around 04:00 on September 25 near the Zaporizhzhia front. The jet had been carrying out strikes on Zaporizhzhia using guided bombs.
