The evidence in favour of 20 mph speed limits is overwhelming, cheaper insurance, less emissions, less car crashes, it saves the NHS, Police and councils money. But Gary from Port Talbot's commute now takes 42 minutes instead of 40 so it simply must go.

I am sickened by the relentless demonisation of refugees. No refugee underfunded a school. No refugee closed a hospital. No refugee took away support from the sick and disabled. We need solutions not scapegoats. Stop blaming refugees and tax the rich instead!

The Leicester Critical Mass, in its heyday, was brilliant! A real party atmosphere. 200+ people riding around in fancy dress and then enjoying a social afterwards in a bar. Adults, kids, a real spectacle! Is it time to bring it back?

Your annual reminder to watch for cyclists. This time seven years ago I was lying in the road after a motorist pulled out in front of me and then braked. With nowhere to go I hit the back of the car. There is still slight numbness underneath my right nostril.

We know that adding car lanes to roads just attracts more cars. We should now try the opposite: take away car lanes, widen pavements, add segregated cycle lanes. We'll find that bigger cars become less attractive and more people walk and cycle. Win for everyone.
