This is absolutely the tactic. So many arrests were just someone taking a step over a line, or not knowing new rules the cops just made up, or at curfew, cops targeting protesters who were mouthy earlier in the day. Or no apparent reason at all. Prosecutors really should drop all of these.

Geo Group operates ICE prisons in 17 states including Oregon. The city of Portland could push to create a tax on property owners who rent to Geo Group/ ICE. If your building is incarcerating people there ought to be a huge tax. Revenue should pay for immigration attorneys for families.

A recent leak from an ICE detention facility near Houston shows hundreds of detainees packed into a shared room without beds or bathrooms. The footage highlights allegations that the facility's air conditioning is kept on maximum, intentionally subjecting occupants to freezing conditions.

And good for them! I hope they succeed! An abuser is always a liability. And a smart or rich one is even more dangerous.

If you are exceptionally good at something, people will put up with you being odd. Quirky. Like if you only want to wear paisley, rarely speak, or have a diet that consists entirely of chicken nuggets. They will not put up with you being abusive. They will quietly plot to get you right tf out.
