Don't know the ins and outs of this, but it feels like something for #scriptsky to be aware of. What I will say, as a former volunteer union organiser who worked alongside paid organisers for a union in the HE sector, is that it's a seriously hard gig. In my union, members had no clue how hard.

So I've had a bit of good news. I just picked up my first paid screenwriting commission, working with an indie producer / director / cinematographer to adapt a novella into a psychological thriller feature. So, I'm busily reading and adapting away... #scriptsky

I cannot stress this enough: court case after court case has ruled that AI does not count as an author when it comes to copyright. Any minute now an AI bot is gonna start reskinning and reselling AI slop and the "authors" will have zero legal recourse because they didn't actually author shit.

I've been watching what's happening in Minneapolis and I don't know what to say. Two American citizens killed by ICE in three weeks. Countless more who are not citizens. People afraid to leave their homes. For those of us not living in Minnesota, are some things we can actually do:

Dems: murdering a nurse trying to help a woman on the ground is not law enforcement. Murdering a mother driving home from dropping her kids at school is not law enforcement. Kidnapping little boys in Spiderman backpacks is not law enforcement. So feel free to stand against ICE. Did we clear that up?
