A lucet fork is a tool dating back to the Viking & Medieval periods, when it was used to create cords that were used on clothing or to hang items from belts. Lucet cord is square, strong, and slightly springy. I'm using my tiny lucet to make a draw string for the sweater I'm currently

I deeply agree that I want more people from the RPG world working with mainstream publishers. I don't want to frame it as something people can just decide to to. Working with a large corporation is always a situation where the artist has very little control over what happens.

I'm 38, I grew up with a Labour party that abolished section 28 when I was at school, introduced the minimum wage so I could get paid properly when I went to work and set up Sure Start that helped my younger siblings. Now look at them. That's the betrayal.

something abled people don't get is you can have just one day a week where you are too sick to work, and that's enough to disqualify you from nearly all full-time jobs. it doesn't take a lot

The amount of big name software that would benefit from being in "maintenance mode" only - allowing users to perfect their workflows and software knowledge. But this would require big tech to admit to their product's economical maturity, which I understand they don't want for some reason?

Bill Watterson is my favorite cartoonist. I adored the relationship btw Calvin and Hobbes as a child. But as I've gotten older, these strips feel even more tender and insightful. My respect for him grew when I learned of his stance against merchandising. Such principles are almost unheard of today.

someone said "I want to be able to draw but I didn't want to learn anatomy." The desire to draw is your catalyst towards learning more about the world around you so that you may replicate it. It's not just anatomy but geology, botany, zoology, meterology, everything you learn helps you draw better

Just a friendly reminder as we go into the holidays: Folks don't have to explain to you why they don't drink. If you offer them a drink and they decline, don't ask them why. It's not your business. Just offer them something without alcohol to drink instead. And move on.

I like to write a short story ~800 words that sets up the character's premise going into the adventure... There's no time to build something big and extravagant, but you can get the first domino to fall. And I reread it to remind myself of the character's voice after a long gap between sessions.
