Some how I found myself reading Savage Dragon again after decades away from the book. I picked up the most recent issues of the last year with no context and I kind of love it. I had heard about some of the changes about the title and controversies, but stories about Malcolm's kids were fun.

The Boys is an effective comic at a base level because it’s shocking and offensive and that gets curious eyes on it, but I don’t think that shock value is all the book is aiming for. I think they’re all just natural elements of a book intentionally meant to be a dark mirror of big superheroes 🧵

Idk why today is an advice day but I’m giving more advice: this is your sign to step out of your comics comfort zone. Comics are a medium, not a genre. Step outside the box. Don’t read just superhero comics, don’t read just big publishers, don’t just read what’s new! I promise you, you’ll thank me
