Lynda Sayce plays a piece of lute music that was recently discovered in an archival document at the Museum Plantin-Moretus. Since the handwritten lute tablature was folded and reused as scrap paper, it's problaby the first time in 400 years that this music is heard.

I set up Bluesky thinking “ah THIS will be the platform I devote to promoting my writing projects and my career as a writer.” Then I remember I write smut on commission and am 3/4 finished writing a book of queer erotica - I’m supposed to be ashamed of that, aren’t I?

I feel like most authors don't rly want Stephen King levels of stardom, where we can't grab a meal w/o people crying at the table. Most of us just want to support our families, afford health care, have 30 people show up to a book signing, and write books that mean something to those who need them.
