I've had the thought many times that decadence isn't what the right thinks it is, it's this: a level of comfort that enables an empty and lazy obsession with grievance untethered from any reality, coherence or virtue.

The qualification factors for the High Impact Player classification are getting all the attention, but the real problem is the 12% limit, creating very strange incentives for structuring contracts. The NWSL PA should argue that any player that meets the criteria is eligible for salary cap relief.

I understand there are some high fixed costs for professional teams, mostly related to facilities. But both the WNBA and NWSL are WELL past the point where those costs dominate. There's no reason these leagues shouldn't be able to operate on 50% of revenue
