I understand there are some high fixed costs for professional teams, mostly related to facilities. But both the WNBA and NWSL are WELL past the point where those costs dominate. There's no reason these leagues shouldn't be able to operate on 50% of revenue

I don't think it was that they didn't know what they were getting with Trump 2.0 as such, but more that they hated inflation and a total lack of imagination. Also worth saying this is a certain segment of voters - maybe 10% or so

The thing about billionaire fragility is this: if their money doesn't buy them the power and influence, they have to ask themselves what is this all for? And they are very very not prepared to be confronted with the pointlessness of their wealth accumulation otherwise.
