Reading the FT front page story about a Chinese company introducing a battery with a 1500 km range & six minute recharging time & about how two Chinese companies own more than half of the global EV battery market & I am struck by the different realities the US and China occupy. We’ve lost the plot.

To state the obvious, it seems that the President gets very little sleep. At 80, that's a really bad sign, especially given his baseline level of (in)coherence. (Yes, it's possible that they schedule these to run in the middle of the night as some kind of agenda-setting tactic. I just doubt it.)

And I can say, from personal experience, a real barrier to considering reforming redistricting in the first place!

The new 10, 3 and 9 are at least defensible from a communities of interest perspective. But the tendrils of 1, 7, 8, and 11 reaching all the way to DC is just insane. At least 1 is "95 corridor." The 4th would make sense... without Richmond. Hilarious.
