Dumb game idea: 'Stand&Deliver!' - A payday 2 style heisting game where you play a group of highwaymen robbing their way up to toppling a corrupt governor. I'm picturing Ned Kelly style armour and trapdoor rifles, with a sprinkle of darktide melee combat thrown in.

Tried out the bubsy 4D demo. Wicked good. Think I'll get it on my switch instead of PC, feels like it'd be more at home on it.

Terrible game idea - Planetside style mmoFPS but the player factions are mercenary groups whose allegiances change over the course of a 'campaign' based on a live-service 'corporate war' plotline. W/ Clan leaders and high rank players getting more say in who they wanna throw in with.

cursed game idea: Battletech RTS set in one of the earlier the succession wars, where you pick a lance of mechs as hero units for each mission, but can requisition infantry and tanks as more general amassable forces. The challenge this is to use your mechs carefully, and counter your opps use.

There's a part of me that really wants to shamelessly rip off Knudson just so I can make an hour long documentary on the decade long story of True Capitalist Radio. I think Its genuinely fascinating how the story unfolded, and how massively it changes if you think Ghost is genuine or not.

Dumb world building concept: time travelers identifying each other by making cultural references ahead of their current time and framing them as obscure philosophical teaching and poems.

Played through all of @mightyyell.bsky.social 's‬ Missile Command Delta... I didn't intend to play it all in one sitting but the loop of exploring and doing missile defenses hooked me good. I also did not expect how... neat... the true ending would be. 8/10 solid game, would recommend.

Yesterday I posted a bunch of pages from an interactive fiction project I'm working on - 'RuinsWiki'. The desired end goal of the project would be a website structured as a backup/dump of the eponymous RuinsWiki, posted by a former user after the events of the story.

Reading old @pcgamer.com magazines from pre-2000 for a thing I'm working on and man I forgot how wild those years of game design were - People were just throwing whatever they wanted at the wall and the less saturated market meant a lot of it could find a home.

Just finished Fuga 3 and watched all the secret post-game content... My joke that the Little Tail Bronx series is Furry Metal Gear is becoming more and more a reality.

The saddest part about Crunch culture in Game dev is that is kinda built into people getting into the field via GameJams. The IDEA of a Gamejam is cool and fun, and I honestly believe some higher up corpo types don't understand why that sprint crunch process cant transfer to the day job.

Played through tempest rising this weekend. It's good! Gameplay is smooth. Only compliant is the voice acting is a bit poor in places.
