So are any of y'all "patient gamers"? By that I mean gamers who almost never buy a game on release, sometimes waiting months/years later to play it. I buy some games on release, but I'll admit I'm a more patient gamer lately. It's kinda nice not feeling like I HAVE to play on day one. 😌

I've been playing a lot of FFXIV and MH Stories 2 lately. I hope Beastmaster is a mix of pokemon and that. If you haven't given Stories 2 a shot - you should. It's basically more complex Pokemon with different lore!

I'm a 25 year player of Civilization games, and the reason Civ 7 failed had nothing to do with the writers, the artists, or anyone else fired today. Their work was fantastic. It was because of higher-ups deciding to ship an unfinished game with predatory DLC. THEY ought to be the ones fired.

I’ve yet to play it myself, but I’ve seen some talk about the alliance raid bosses for 7.3 dying too fast. It’s kind of important to remember that these raids are balanced around the 725 floor and most of the people complaining are in 760 Best in Slot gear. Of course the bosses will die faster.

Best new feature is the character/object draw distance added to PC FFXIV. I'm literally as far away as I can get and I can still see those mobs airplane style. Wouldn't have known to change the default setting without @alycore.bsky.social actually reading every bit of the patch notes xD.

I just heard someone saying that healthy kids shouldn’t get ANY vaccines because they don’t die from diseases. Only sick kids do. You vaccinate the healthy kids to help protect the sick kids! Also, a great way to go from being a healthy kid to a sick one is to get a disabling virus.

It’s absolutely insane, looking at modern requirements, that the vast majority of N64 games ran on 4 MB of RAM and the few that didn’t required this expansion pack, which doubled the RAM to 8 MB.
