Some good news today! I've had several sleepless nights recently wondering what I'd do if I didn't have tenure. It's rough out there right now and I hope to keep making it better for people less fortunate than me.

Now would be a good time to familiarize yourself with history. One historical incident I'm thinking a lot about recently is Japanese internment in the US during WWII. Over 100k people sent to concentration camps and more than half of the people detained were US citizens.
