The recent action by the administration to impose a massive, $100K per-head tax on skilled labor is a huge source of talent uncertainty. As this research shows, one thing you can expect is less investment by firms. This is bad for American workers, businesses, and economies.

If confirmed as true, this would be the height of hypocrisy. The man who so vehemently claims to be on the right side of the law would actually be a crook.

I appreciated the chance to weigh in on recent developments on @bloomberglp.bsky.social with Joe Mathieu and Kailey Leinz. We covered due process for migrants, the massive decline in immigrant workers in the jobs report, international student bans, and more. This stuff affects our daily lives!

This is a good editorial. But the administration’s desire to eliminate legal immigration isn’t something just emerging with “growing evidence.” It’s been shouted from the rooftops; it’s not only JD’s stance. It’s the stance of the administration. Good to see the WSJ catching on.
