After a week of rain, we finally got out for a few days of shorebird surveys. Don't worry, this isn't an ID challenge.

Absolutely *thrilled* to come across a flock of American golden-plovers. These birds zoom through the prairies in the spring on their epic migration from the pampas of Argentina to the tundra in Canada and Alaska (~13,000 km). Imagine! They don't even look tired #birds
