Great bird in bad light. I was watching sea otters last night and turned around and saw this osprey literally ripping the head off of a fish. 🪶

Even on a gloomy day like today Montana de Oro State Park is gorgeous. One of the largest state parks in CA, 8 miles of coastline, trails to coastal dunes, bluffs & peaks. 🌿

No better way to start the day than at the fabulous sea otter nursery of Morro Bay. 23 otters, four with pups. 🌿🦑

Serendipity. I was admiring the flower plot at the San Diego CommunityGardens early this morning when this barn owl showed up. The owl was noticed and chased by a Cooper’s hawk (last shot).
