Earlier this year, I received news that fake peer reviews were allegedly being submitted impersonating me and approximately six others I shared my story with Science to, hopefully, reduce the chance of this kind of breach happening again

UK PhD stipends have not been increasing in line with the national minimum wage, and since the generous COVID increase haven’t even bothered to be anchored against an inflation metric. I’m lucky enough to have a spouse to support me but in what world is this not a barrier to entry for others?

I can't recommend highly enough to put an AirTag in your scientific shipment. I shipped a container from Iceland to Hawaiʻi in July, which was supposed to take a month. It still hasn't arrived. Along the way, the shipper has given misinformation about its location, but I could always tell.
