Let's talk Beasts. The most important thing to keep in mind for the game is its theme. Beasts is a game primarily about the dehumanization that comes from war (oof). This is reflected in several places throughout the design, many of which I'll go through on this thread.

Crowdfunding campaigns are stressful + expensive. Rather than spend ~40% of funds on stuff that isn't the book, we'd rather a most of that go to making the book happen. Rather than ask you to risk your money in something that may never exist, we'd rather give you something tangible for your money.

the political policy cure for “male loneliness” is - more time to hang with the fellas (4 day work week) - more money to spend with the fellas (higher wages) - more things to do with the fellas (taxing the rich and building 3rd spaces)

I know I reblogged this yesterday but it bears emphasis that THIS GAME LOOKS SO COOL. You cut pieces out of your character sheet and moves sheet as your character advances, specifically the parts that let them be a normal kid and not a soldier.
