One thing a lot of people don't realize is how inaccessible the convenience foods at the grocery store are for many sick people w/ dietary limitations. That's what is intentionally ignored by a lot of (very white) progressive policy folks who like to sneer about objections to gentrification. It's not that new people come in, it's that they regularly use city & law enforcement resources to harass and displace existing residents.

This is facts. I think forgiveness has a place but I have family members who I do not forgive for being overtly homophobic and abusive toward me who I have good relationships with now. We've talked about their behavior and moved toward repair, but I do not forgive them. I just chose to let it go.

People want easy categories to talk about gender (and justify their assumptions) but trans and GNC folk make this very difficult. Instead of learning discernment they'd rather find ways to say they're not roping us in when they very much are.
