The opposition argued “no cars means no business,” but the street has been a massive retail success, the city’s busiest shopping street.

Zambesi Ponsonby Rd gone. Wixi P Rd also closed. Strange as there are no bike lanes, street upgrades, nor CRL works on P Rd. No cones! Nothing but endless cars and parking - Zambesi still has its city store, where we are told it is ‘impossible’ to drive and park, and therefore shop. Go figure?
